Welcome! We are Damien and Kristin Cooney, parents who have navigated the challenge of homeschooling for ten years through both calm and stormy waters. Former long-time residents of Virginia Beach, aside from short stints in Nashville and Boise, we have recently transitioned our family to beautiful Upstate South Carolina. Call us the Cooneys Coast to Coast! We invite you on our journey as we tackle many topics relevant to homeschoolers. We will also frequently share on educational family travel, with a sprinkling of gluten/dairy-free eating, and more than a dollop of faith. The designated homeschooling parent, family accountant, and main author of the blog, Kristin loves all things to do with traveling, writing, and learning. Hearing the term “multipotentialite” from a Ted Talk changed her life as she now could viably explain herself. In her spare time, if such a thing exists in her world, she may or may not be buying too much curricula, even perhaps this very moment.
Meet Damien
The designated gardener, builder, landscaper, art teacher, cook, laborer, and general problem solver, Damien is tall, dark, and handsome. He wears his over-a-half-century of years very well, as noted by many. In addition to the myriad of roles noted above, he is the blog’s main photog and creative editor.
